How does the Swift Sensors system work?
Swift Sensors is very simple. Here is a brief description of how the system works.
- Wireless sensors record measurements such as temperature, vibration, open close, water detection, etc.
- A gateway communicates with each sensor to collect measurement data and then transmits this data to your central cloud account.
- Using the Swift Sensors Console, you can monitor measurement data, set alarm thresholds, and create notifications to alert you or your team when the data indicates potential issues.
What is the signal range of the sensors?
The sensor range is generally 500 ft (150 m) depending on infrastructure. The sensors use the BLE5 wireless communication protocol which allows signal transmission through doors and walls constructed of standard building materials.
What is the battery life of the sensors?
The battery life of the sensors is 6-8 years. A sensor uses two AAA Lithium Batteries that can be sourced online or at your local hardware or grocery store.
What is the Swift Sensors Console?
The Swift Sensors Console application is a cloud-based platform designed for real-time monitoring and management of your wireless sensor system. It provides comprehensive analytics, detailed reporting, and customizable notifications to keep you informed of any critical changes. Additionally, the Console allows for seamless system configuration, ensuring optimal performance and compliance across various industries.
How does the monitoring plan work?
The Swift Sensors monitoring plan is based on the number of sensors deployed, allowing businesses to scale their monitoring solutions as needed. Each monitoring plan includes access to our cloud Console application. The Console offers analytics, reporting, notifications, and system configuration, ensuring comprehensive monitoring and management capabilities.
What about system security?
When it comes to security and privacy, we deploy the highest levels available. Please refer to our System Security document for more information.
Can I buy only the sensors?
You will also need to purchase at least one gateway. Our sensors will only work with Swift Sensors gateways and cannot be adapted into other systems. Sensor transmissions cannot be intercepted by third party gateways. Please consider using our API when integration is required.
